When El Chete was released in 2017, it took off, immediately becoming a top selling model for TOPS. Something about the functionality of the blade along with its aesthetics just struck a chord with people in the knife community. The Mini version originally became a thought after making some wooden Christmas ornaments that were shrunken versions of full-sized blades. A few of those ornaments looked like they would make awesome knives. So, TOPS decided to get some minis made.

This Knife Blade: Cleaver blade with a Midnight Camo Bronze finish made from 1095 steel. Handle: Tan Canvas micarta handle that's both light and robust. TOPS Knives El Chete The TOPSEl Chete is a massive fixed blade designed to make quick work of any chopping task. Its blade is fashioned from full-tang, quarter-inch thick 1095 tool steel in an bronze finish. The sandwiched Canvas Micarta handle is shaped to fit the hand like a hatchet or small ax handle for comfortable and secure use.
