In 2016, a challenge was issued to the employees of TOPS Knives. Whoever can design the best hatchet, tomahawk, or ax will get it approved as a design, be credited as the designer, and TOPS will produce it. This hatchet was the winner of that contest. Leo is the President of TOPS Knives, the main designer, and the guy who approves all outside designs. You know what they say: like father, like son.

Some 12 years later and hundreds of sales all over the world, the TOPS Wolf Pup is one of TOPS Knives most popular knives. It is easy to carry, fits most hands, is fairly small and highly efficient. This knife is finely engineered and great to use in most situations. With that in mind they decided to add it to a field ax and call it the Wolf pAX 2. The hand ax was made to carry on your belt or your pack, even in your canoe.

4 7/8" axe head with 3" cutting edge, 1 7/8" bottom cutting edge and lashing holes and slot. Black traction coated 1095 high carbon steel construction. Lanyard hole with OD green nylon cord lanyard. Includes 5 1/8" overall Wolf Pup with 2 3/8" black traction coated 1095 high carbon steel blade with lashing holes and slot. Black molded Kydex sheath with stainless clip holds both.
