Jungle experiences have proven to be very inspirational with TOPS designs. The Brakimo and Tanimboca Puukko are two examples of knives born through jungle experience. The Yacare is the next one in the series. It was designed by TOPS’ GM Craig Powell. He first saw machetes of a similar style in Costa Rica on the hips of local folks and in decorative pieces.
This Machete Blade: 1095 steel blade with a Tungsten Cerakote finish. Handle: Black canvas micarta handle that's both light and robust. Carry: Ballistic Nylon sheath for easy carry and storage. TOPS Yacare 10.0 The Yacare 10.0 Machete takes inspiration from the classic jungle machetes of the Costa Rican rainforest. It is similar to barong styled machetes but with that distinctive TOPS flair.
