Spyderco ButtonUp Black Carbon Fiber/G10 Laminate Black Oxide PlainEdge Folding Knife [C275CFPBK]
The Spyderco ButtonUp [C275CFPBK] is a manual-opening folding knife with a push-button lock. This version pairs a black Carbon Fiber/G10 Laminate handle with a black oxide 8Cr13MoV stainless steel blade and a plainedge cutting edge.
Manual Opening and Button Lock
Eric Glesser’s ButtonUp design combines a button-operated lock with a ball-bearing pivot. The blade opens through Spyderco’s round opening hole; pressing the lock button releases it for closing. The button operates the lock rather than firing the blade, so this is a manual folder.
Blade and Carry
The modified clip-point blade has a full-flat grind. Its plain edge provides a continuous cutting surface for controlled slicing and straightforward sharpening. A reversible hourglass pocket clip supports left- or right-side tip-up carry, and the lanyard opening provides another attachment option.
Handle Configuration
Smooth carbon fiber/G10 laminate scales give this version its layered handle construction. The open-backed handle leaves the interior accessible for cleaning. The blade has a black oxide coating.
