The gray Sage 5 Lightweight uses Micro-Melt Maxamet for its satin, plain-edge blade. The full-flat grind and compact Sage outline provide a broad slicing profile, while the FRN scales keep this configuration lighter than the G-10 Sage models.
The textured handle contains nested steel liners and Spyderco’s Compression Lock. A Round Hole provides manual opening, and the reversible wire clip supports tip-up carry from either side. Maxamet offers very high wear resistance but is not stainless; keeping it clean and dry helps protect the surface.
