This pair of triangular Sharpmaker rods uses cubic boron nitride (CBN) abrasive on steel cores. The coarse cutting action is intended for faster stock removal, edge restoration and reprofiling before finer ceramic finishing.

Each rod measures approximately 7 inches by 0.5 inch and fits the Tri-Angle Sharpmaker base. Flat faces work on plain edges and the rounded corners can access serrations. This is an accessory rod pair, supplied without the Sharpmaker base.
