The UpTern pairs a satin, full-flat-ground 8Cr13MoV stainless blade with a smooth stainless steel handle. Its combination edge adapts the compact Byrd Tern profile to a locking Spyderco folder with manual Round Hole opening.
A back lock secures the blade in use. The handle has a lined lanyard hole, and a four-position clip supports left or right-side, tip-up or tip-down carry. This is the locking UpTern, distinct from the non-locking Tern design.
