Mike Read’s PITS 2 is a non-locking SLIPIT folder with a satin, full-flat-ground Böhler M398 blade. Matte-finished titanium scales support a plain-edge cutting profile and a symmetrical, manually operated design.
Integral spring arms machined into the scales flex at the blade pivot and apply pressure to the notched-joint mechanism. The Round Hole provides manual opening, while a reversible clip supports left or right-side tip-up carry. This mechanism retains the blade through spring pressure rather than a locking latch.
