The Kobun follows Cold Steel’s tanto boot-knife pattern with a 5.5-inch AUS-8A stainless steel blade. Its reinforced point retains thickness near the tip while the thinner blade and slim grip keep the knife’s profile compact.
A deeply textured black Kray-Ex handle provides a narrow grip, with a lanyard opening at the rear. A Secure-Ex sheath with a clip attachment is included for boot or belt carry. The Kobun measures 9.875 inches overall, with a 4.375-inch handle.
