The blade receives cryogenic treatment during heat processing, and the steel is chosen to balance cutting performance with straightforward sharpening.
The drop-point profile is intended for general field-dressing work. Its plain cutting edge and fixed-blade format distinguish it from the specialized boning and fillet shapes in the Commercial Series. A rigid Zy-Ex core supports the handle beneath a textured Kray-Ex outer grip. This construction is shared across the Commercial Series, which was developed for butchers, fish processors, hunters and kitchen users. The black handle and plain edge identify this configuration.
