The G.I. Tanto uses straightforward full-tang construction with a broad tanto blade, an integral guard and black polypropylene handle scales. Its 1055 carbon steel blade receives a spring temper and a black protective finish. The plain cutting edge and angular point give it the recognizable profile of this Cold Steel fixed blade.
The removable handle scales are attached directly to the steel tang, keeping the construction simple. A lanyard hole is provided at the end of the handle. The knife measures twelve inches overall and comes with a Secure-Ex belt sheath to protect the edge during storage and carry.
