Luke LaFontaine's thrower has a deeply curved blade with a broad belly, a sharpened cutting edge and a pointed tip beneath an unsharpened false edge. Made from a single piece of 1050 carbon steel, it combines the handle and blade in one continuous black-finished body.
An integral finger guard separates the grip from the cutting edge. The handle tapers toward its end, a feature intended to allow a clean release during throwing. The knife measures fourteen inches overall, with an eight-inch blade and a six-inch handle. A sheath is not included.
