The FGX Boot Blade I translates the boot-knife pattern into the lightweight composite construction of Cold Steel’s Nightshade series. Its five-inch blade is made from fiberglass-reinforced plastic rather than steel, with UV and heat stabilization built into the material.
A deeply checkered Kray-Ex grip is molded directly over the tang, creating a textured surface with a slightly tacky feel. The nonsteel blade resists moisture and does not require steel-edge rust care. This two-ounce model has a pointed working profile; it should not be confused with a blunt rubber practice knife.
