The FGX CAT Tanto combines an angular six-inch tanto blade with Cold Steel’s fiberglass-reinforced Griv-Ex construction. At 11.5 inches overall, it is one of the larger Nightshade models, with a nonsteel blade and tang rather than a conventional metal fixed-blade construction.
The deeply checkered grip is molded directly over the tang to create a textured holding surface. UV and heat stabilization support the composite material’s durability, while the synthetic blade resists moisture. The CAT Tanto weighs 3.1 ounces; its pointed blade and edge distinguish it from a blunt training replica.
