The Black Bear Bowie Machete combines a twelve-inch Bowie-style blade with a black polypropylene handle. This configuration uses 65Mn carbon steel with a black powder-coated finish and a plain cutting edge.
Full-tang construction runs through the grip, and a steel guard separates the handle from the blade. The machete measures 17.75 inches overall, including its 5.75-inch handle. A Cor-Ex belt sheath is included for carry and storage. Its broad clip-point blade distinguishes it from the straight Latin machete patterns.
