The Ontario RAT 3 is a compact fixed blade with a full, extended tang and Micarta handle scales. This execution uses black-coated 1075 high-carbon steel and tan canvas Micarta, keeping it distinct from RAT versions made with other steels or handle materials. A belt sheath is supplied with the knife.
The blade material is 1075HC steel. The blade has a black powder coated finish. The handle configuration is Tan canvas micarta.
The steel tang extends through and beyond the handle. A rear lanyard hole provides a cord attachment point.
