The Spyderco C103 PKal knife is designed especially for the new martial arts genre of Pikal. In the Philippine Visayan dialect it means "to rip". While the P'Kal knife is designed for this activity, it has features that also translate well for everyday carry.

The CPM S30V blade curves to a point and it feels natural and comfortable making pulling, downward cuts. Protruding from the top of the blades spine is a removable Emerson Opening feature. The device popularized and patented by Ernest Emerson of Emerson Knives.
