The recognizable Fox 478 and 479 pattern

The 478 and 479 are among Fox’s recognizable interpretations of the traditional Southeast Asian karambit pattern. The curved blade, ring-ended handle and pronounced handle contours give the family a visual identity quite different from a straight-bladed pocket knife.

These folding models use a liner-lock layout. Fox has produced the pattern with several handle materials, colors and blade finishes; the exact configuration matters, particularly when comparing aluminum, G10 and Micarta editions. This Karambit Liner Lock Carbon Fiber/G10 Folding Knife configuration has a 3.00" blade made from Bohler N690 stainless. Its Finish finish is paired with finger grooved handle construction. Closed length is 5.25" .
