The recognizable Fox 478 and 479 pattern

The 478 and 479 are among Fox’s recognizable interpretations of the traditional Southeast Asian karambit pattern. The curved blade, ring-ended handle and pronounced handle contours give the family a visual identity quite different from a straight-bladed pocket knife.

These folding models use a liner-lock layout. Fox has produced the pattern with several handle materials, colors and blade finishes; the exact configuration matters, particularly when comparing aluminum, G10 and Micarta editions. This edition

This Karambit Dark Earth G-10 Stone Folding Knife configuration has a 3" blade made from Bohler N690 stainless. Its Stonewash finish is paired with g10 handle construction. Closed length is 5 1/4" .

Construction and carry

The mechanism is Liner Lock. A pocket clip provides the carrying attachment.
