Antonio Di Gennaro’s compact-grip brief

Antonio Di Gennaro developed the Italico, sold here under the Italicus name, around two priorities: a very compact folder and a grip that would feel substantial in the hand. Fox’s published account of the first sketches places ergonomics at the beginning of the design process.

The resulting knife pairs a comparatively short blade with a pronounced handle shape. It is an everyday folder whose character comes from the relationship between those two elements, rather than from adding blade length.

This edition

This Italicus Liner Lock Titanium Folding Knife configuration has a 2.50" blade made from Bohler M390 stainless. Its black stonewash finish is paired with black stonewash finish titanium handle construction. Closed length is 3.5" (8.89cm).

Construction and carry

The mechanism is Linerlock. A pocket clip provides the carrying attachment. The handle also has a lanyard opening.
