Fox CHNOPS Liner Lock Blue Folding Knife [FOX543ALBL]
Chemistry behind the CHNOPS name
Raven Knives Design named CHNOPS after the chemical symbols for carbon, hydrogen, nitrogen, oxygen, phosphorus and sulfur, the six elements commonly associated with the chemistry of living matter. That scientific reference sits behind a clean, compact everyday-carry design.
Fox describes the original CHNOPS as a liner-lock folder with a front-flipper opening and a ball-bearing pivot. The mechanism is visually sheltered by the handle scales, helping preserve the minimalist outline. The different handle and finish editions change its appearance substantially without changing the origin of the name.
This edition
This CHNOPS Liner Lock Blue Folding Knife configuration has a 3.25" blade made from Bohler M390 stainless. Its satin finish is paired with blue aluminum handle construction. Closed length is 4" (10.16cm).
Construction and carry
The mechanism is Linerlock. A pocket clip provides the carrying attachment.
