Bastinelli’s compact Fox karambit

The Blackbird is part of Fox’s collaboration with Bastien Coves, the French designer behind Bastinelli. Fox’s catalogue documents the N690 liner-lock version separately from the later Elmax-and-titanium Luxury frame-lock editions, an important distinction when comparing knives under the same family name.

Its compact curved blade, integral handle ring and sculpted grip give the Blackbird its identity. The handle material and blade finish change the appearance considerably between editions.

This edition

This Bastinelli BlackBird Liner Lock Folding Knife configuration has a 2.50" blade made from Bohler N690 stainless. Its Oxide coated finish is paired with oD green G10 handle construction. Closed length is 4.75" (12.07cm).

Construction and carry

The mechanism is Linerlock. A pocket clip provides the carrying attachment.
