Fox Vulpis Folder Black Grenade [FOXVPGP130BK]
The Maniago pocket-tool tradition behind Vulpis
Fox developed the Vulpis with reference to the Duca, a multi-purpose pocket knife associated with Maniago’s nineteenth-century cutlery tradition. The manufacturer points to the knives exhibited by the Bet Giovanni firm in Turin in 1888 as part of that historical background.
Vulpis interprets that heritage with compact modern handles and a range of blade and tool combinations. The single-blade pocket knives and multi-function versions are different configurations, so the material and tool selection of the individual model matter.
This edition
This Vulpis Folder Black Grenade configuration has a 2.13" blade made from Bohler N690 stainless. The grip uses black grenade pattern aluminum. Closed length is 3.13" (7.95cm).
Construction and carry
The mechanism is Slip joint (non-locking). A pocket clip provides the carrying attachment. The handle also has a lanyard opening.
