A well known editor of Tactical Knives Magazine (with a great set of credentials in both the military and as a professional outdoorsman) took a great deal of time and his years of experience to design a true multipurpose camp knife. In an article in Tactical Knives Magazine in May of 2003, the author wrote: "The knife is ideal for what it is designed to be: an all-purpose backcountry tool. Used the Pasayten to split kindling, prepare every dinner for 10 nights, cut bannock at lunch, cleaned fish and cut line, it found its way into many hands and was the knife of choice when a job was to be done. The Pasayten is a no last-ditch survival knife, yet is stout enough to split kindling yet delicate enough to fillet fish. TOPS sheath has a swivel belt clip which offers the option of horizontal carry.

The Pasayten Light Traveler fixed blade was designed by Steven Dick as an all-purpose camp knife for backcountry adventure. Steven Dick is an editor at Tactical Knives Magazine and an experience military/outdoor professional. This knife features a tactical gray coated 154-CM steel blade with a full-flat grind and moderately wide profile. The Pasayten has barrel pin fastened black linen Micarta handle with lanyard hole. Includes a Kydex sheath with rotating spring clip.
