The Kyoto I puts Cold Steel's traditional Japanese-style tanto profile into a compact fixed blade. Model 17DA uses a 3.25-inch 8Cr13MoV stainless blade, with a plain cutting edge and a satin finish. Its small dimensions distinguish it from the brand's larger Japanese-inspired knives.
A full tang continues through the black Kray-Ex handle, whose molded texture echoes the appearance of a cord-wrapped sword grip. A stainless-steel guard separates the hand from the cutting edge. The slim sheath accepts a bead-chain lanyard or a Cold Steel C-Clip for different carrying arrangements. The knife measures 6.625 inches overall and weighs 3.3 ounces.
