The Black Bear Classic uses a sub-hilt handle layout associated with knifemaker Bob Loveless. This San Mai edition has a satin-finished, double-edged blade and smooth black G-10 scales. The main guard and a second guard behind the index finger give the handle its distinctive shape.
Cold Steel contours the G-10 scales by hand and attaches them to the tang with six stainless pins. The blade measures 8.25 inches, and the complete knife is 13.25 inches long. A Secure-Ex sheath is included for storage and belt carry. The combination of laminated stainless steel, a sub-hilt grip and double-edge geometry distinguishes this model from ordinary single-edge fixed blades.
